"... I'm not a big reader but found this to be a totally absorbing, gripping yarn. It's fascinating how thorough research can uncover such detail, and treachery, and travesty, from a relative backwater of sleepy Suffolk." - Mr. B, Woodbridge

""... what a wonderful piece of work. I am very impressed at the scholarship and the production. It really is a superb example of local history at its best, full of fascinating characters set in their local context and culture ..." - Mr. G, Woodbridge

John Vancouver (pictured, right) John Vancouverwho developed part of the estate Mary Sewelland whose brother gave his name to the city on the west coast of Canada, Mary Sewell (pictured, left), author in her own right and mother of “Black Beauty” author, Anna, are but three of the many characters who appear in the story.

Greville continues to work on the subject of Sutton People and he is now talking to and listening to anyone who has memories of past times in the parish. Conversations are being recorded and then edited for the next book, which will also contain photographs which may not have seen the light of day for a very long time.

The idea is to build up a picture of life from 1914 onwards.
